It Might Be You by Kai

Kai, a Filipino-American (with a Chinese-American bass singer) R&B group hit the US airwaves when they released a self-titled album in 1998 (Geffen Records). The group was comprised of Anthony "AC" Lorenzo, Andrew "Dru" Gapuz, Errol Viray, Andrey Silva, and Leo Chan. In this video (live concert from Detroit, USA) posted by youtube user, ImportFlavour, they perform a track popularized by Stephen Bishop.

Distributed by Universal Records at the time, their debut CD was on music stores' shelves worldwide. Kai has received mild-to-moderate global success in their musical tenure. At times, they've expressed frustration by not getting due recognition (based on talent alone) from the politics in the music industry.

The group later re-formed as 6th Day, incorporating members of Drop N'Harmony and Innerlude. As 6th Day, the group has released well-produced R&B tracks and some members even venturing into Contemporary Christian Pop highlighting their religious background ("Church of Christ" or Iglesia ni Cristo).

The most notable member of the new band was Sway Penala who later became a Top 20 finalist in the American Idol. He currently has a new album released "My Story." Andrey Silva, the former lead singer of Kai, continue to make his music as a soloist with his English interpretation of Gary Valenciano's "Sana'y Maulit Muli" earning him thousands of hits in youtube and downloaded in popular peer-to-peer sharing softwares.
